# Troubleshoot 'No projects are available'

> Restore access when the 'No projects are available' message appears and the project is not visible in the project selector.

> [!NOTE]
>
> **Applies to:**
>
> * Plan - Enterprise
> * Deployment - Braintrust web app
> *
> * Use case - You cannot access an existing project in the Braintrust web app

## Summary

This article covers project visibility in the Braintrust web app. Project visibility requires direct or inherited **Read** permission. If an existing project is unavailable, ask an organization owner to verify your organization membership and your **Read** permission on the target project.

## What is happening

A project without **Read** access is unavailable to you. Other accessible projects can still appear in the project selector.

## Fix or suggestion

### Option 1: Verify membership and Read permission

1. Confirm you are a member of the target organization. Ask an organization owner to go to ** Settings** > [** Members**](https://www.braintrust.dev/app/~/configuration/members) and find your account.
2. If access should come through a permission group, go to ** Settings** > [** Permissions**](https://www.braintrust.dev/app/~/configuration/permissions/organization) and verify your group membership. If SCIM does not manage the group, ask an organization owner to add you if needed.
3. Check your direct and inherited **Read** permission on the target project. If access comes through a permission group, check whether it grants **Read** through **All projects**, the target project, or the **Member projects** row of a project group containing it. The **Project group definition** row doesn't grant access to the group's projects.
4. If the group needs **Read** access on the target project, ask an organization owner to go to the project's ** Settings** > ** Permissions** > [**Project**](https://www.braintrust.dev/app/~/configuration/permissions/project), find the group, click its pencil icon, select **Read**, and click **Save**.

### Option 2: Verify provisioning and group membership

* A domain mapping may add you to a permission group when you first join the organization. If you are already a member, follow the membership guidance in Option 1.
* For SCIM, if **Enable SCIM updates** and **Manage permission groups via SCIM** are on, ensure you belong to both groups in your identity provider: the organization membership group and the group mapped to the Braintrust permission group. Then follow the **Read** permission check in Option 1.

After access is updated, check the target project again.

## How to confirm it worked

* You can select the project from the project selector.
* You can open the project URL in the browser. For example: `https://www.braintrust.dev/app/YOUR_ORG/p/YOUR_PROJECT`

## Notes

* Project-level permissions, project groups, and SCIM provisioning require Enterprise.
* If the project remains unavailable after checking access, contact support.
