Summary

The Loop model picker shows Add provider or No org-level provider when it cannot find a provider for the selected model. If Braintrust is unavailable, check built-in-model access and remaining model credits. If new threads don’t start on the provider you expect, check your organization’s default provider for Loop.

Check the cause

  • Add provider or No org-level provider. No configured provider serves the selected model. Your provider must serve a supported Loop model and be configured for your organization or the thread’s project. See Models and providers.
  • Braintrust is missing. Built-in models are turned off or your organization doesn’t meet the requirements. See Manage built-in models.
  • Braintrust stops working. Your model credits ran out. Choose a configured provider to keep working.
  • “The default provider was deleted or is inaccessible” or “This provider has no compatible Loop models”. The Loop default provider setting can’t be used. Select another provider or fix the provider’s configuration. See Set a default provider for Loop.
  • “No default provider has been set.” or “Your default provider is unavailable.” These appear when you can’t turn on Auto in Loop chat. Set an available default provider, or ask an organization owner to set one. See Choose a provider and model.
  • Default provider unavailable on an automation. The automation has Auto on and paused because the default can’t serve it. See Pause an automation.

Confirm it worked

Reload Loop and check that the Provider setting offers a provider for your selected model. Run a short prompt to confirm that the provider can serve it.
