# Claude models are not available in Loop

## Summary

**Issue:** Claude model names aren't selectable in the Loop model picker, even with an Anthropic or AWS Bedrock provider configured.

**Cause:** Configuring an AI provider doesn't expand Loop's [supported models](https://docs.braintrust.dev/loop.md#choose-a-provider-and-model). The provider must serve a model that Loop supports.

**Resolution:** Choose a supported model and follow [Models and providers](https://docs.braintrust.dev/loop/manage.md#models-and-providers) to select or configure its provider.

This restriction applies to the model Loop itself runs on. You can use Claude in [prompts](https://docs.braintrust.dev/evaluate/prompts.md), [playgrounds](https://docs.braintrust.dev/evaluate/playgrounds.md), and [LLM-as-a-judge scorers](https://docs.braintrust.dev/evaluate/llm-as-a-judge.md).
