Summary

Quick reference for keyboard shortcuts in the Human review UI, known behaviors, and recommended workarounds.

When to use this

  • When you want to speed up annotation or move between logs without using the mouse.

Shortcuts

  • 0–9: set continuous scorer value (0 → 90%).
  • Shift+0 (number row only): set continuous scorer to 100% (does not work from numpad).
  • J: navigate to next log (works as right navigation workaround).
  • K: navigate to previous log (works as left navigation workaround).
  • P or N: alternatives for up or down navigation in some scorer interfaces.

Behavior and known issues

  • Left arrow moves to the previous log and right arrow moves to the next log when focused on a categorical scorer. On text or continuous scorers, the arrow keys remain focused in the score input and do not navigate away.
  • Continuous-scorer 100%: there is an existing shortcut (shift+0) but it only works from the number row. Numpad keys do not trigger it.
  • Shortcut discoverability: several keyboard shortcuts (J or K, P or N, Shift+0) are not surfaced in the UI. Users may miss them.

Workarounds

  • If the left or right arrow doesn’t move between logs, press K for the previous log or J for the next log.
  • If you need 100% for a continuous scorer, press shift+0 on the number row.

Tips

  • Shortcuts operate when the scorer input has focus or when the review pane is active. If a text field captures input, shortcuts may not fire.
  • If you renamed a scorer and appear to have “lost” historical values, the old values remain on spans under the old scorer name. Renaming does not delete stored review values.
